How to Make Your Computer Start Up Faster

Many software manufacturers set their products to run behind the scenes when a computer starts up. This makes it easier to access often-used programs as soon as you click their icons. However, more products
running at start-up can slow the start-up process. To speed that process, you can prevent rarely used programs from running while your computer boots up.

Instructions

    • 1
Click the "Start" button and then click "Control Panel."
    • 2
Click "System and Security" and "Administrative Tools." Double-click "System Configuration." A new window opens.
